Abortion Advocates Plumbing the Depths for Donations

Abortion Advocates Plumbing the Depths for Donations

ppchocNothing quite says, “Happy Mother’s Day, Mom,” like making a donation to Planned Parenthood in her honor. If you had made a $25 donation to Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region by May 6, you could have had a box of 6 “Chocolates for Choice” sent to your mom. A donation of $50 would garner Mom a box of 16 chocolates, and $75 would get her 25. The gift-wrapped boxes included a handwritten card with your message, but it’s safe to say the card did not contain an image of an aborted, dismembered baby.

You’ve heard of blood diamonds? Think of these as blood chocolates.

“Chocolates for Choice” is not about truth, compassion, or honoring the woman who chose the gift of life for you; it is about cold, hard cash for an abortion clinic.

Lifenews.com has an article showing several abortion providers and advocates taking the opportunity on Mother’s Day to promote abortion. Joining Planned Parenthood in a charade meant to fill their coffers so they can continue aborting babies was Boulder Valley (Colorado) Women’s Health Center, promoting donations to honor your “fabulous” mom. NARAL Pro-Choice America and Abortion Care Network went with messages reminding you to thank your mom (in NARAL’s case, “pro-choice” moms) for all she’s done for you. Does that include giving thanks their mothers didn’t abort them?

Planned Parenthood Global sent out a fundraising e-mail the day before Mother’s Day asking their supporters to “celebrate Mother’s Day by standing with mothers around the world.” Who is standing with the women whose babies were aborted? God is standing with all the aborted babies, and He seeks to stand with all those hurt by abortion.

Evidently, irony is lost on these abortion supporters.

Since 1973, close to 57 million babies in the United States were never given the chance to see their moms, let alone help them celebrate Mother’s Day, because they were aborted.

It is a wonder why Planned Parenthood needs to fundraise. In Fiscal Year 2013, Planned Parenthood received $540.6 million dollars from the federal government and performed 327,166 abortions. More than half a billion dollars of taxpayer money goes to the nation’s largest abortion provider and their affiliate is selling boxes of chocolate to fundraise? This “non-profit” had $58.2 million in “excess of revenue over expenses,” which means Planned Parenthood made a profit.

Trying to access the Boulder Valley Women’s Health Center financials on their website only resulted in a message that said, “Oops, this page could not be found!” Their donation page was working just fine, however.

Planned Parenthood tried to make money off of another holiday: Christmas. The day Christians celebrate as the birth of our Lord and Savior became a target for abortionists. Planned Parenthood decided sacrilege would be appropriate to raise funds to slaughter innocent babies. For several years they used the “Choice on Earth” theme. “Peace on Earth,” the message brought when angels announced Christ’s birth, promotes harmony; “Choice on Earth,” the message brought by abortionists celebrating the death of babies, promotes tumult.

In 2013, Planned Parenthood’s Arizona affiliate took it in a different direction — the “Twelve Days of Contraception.” General viewing has been blocked on YouTube and is now marked “private” when clicked.  Maybe they felt a smidgen of shame for replacing the words of a beloved Christmas song with things like dental dams, diaphragms, and condoms and decided to make it private. Or maybe they were lambasted for being intolerant bigots who attack Christians.

Planned Parenthood affiliates in Indiana and Alaska offered gift certificates during Christmas. Planned Parenthood of Indiana president and CEO Betty Cockrum said, “The gift certificates are also a wonderful idea for that person in your life who puts everyone else first.” Would that be true for someone using the certificate to have an abortion?

Abortion activists will stop at nothing to make money, so this should come as no surprise. After all, they kill babies for money. In the culture of death and its quest for lucre, nothing is sacred.
