We see our Constitutional freedoms being chipped away, often in the name of freedom and tolerance. David Barton, President of WallBuilders, says this is often because we have lost perspective on the struggles of our nation's founders and the sacrifices they made to secure those rights. Looking at religious freedom -- often called our "First Freedom," Barton notes that all of our other Constitutional liberties are founded on the basic concept of man's individual relationship with and responsibility to, the Almighty. Barton shows how the early settlers' understanding of scripture gave us what were then novel concepts like property rights and the freedom of conscience.
