Statement From CWA Regarding Sandy Rios     3/12/2004

Washington, D.C. - Concerned Women for America (CWA) announced that Sandy Rios would no longer serve as President of CWA as of March 1st. Both parties parted amicably over irreconcilable differences concerning the administration of the organization. CWA's stands on issues of importance have not changed and will not change.

"We are sad to have lost a valued leader today," said Beverly LaHaye, CWA's founder and chairman of the Board of Directors. "I wish Sandy well as she pursues her next step, knowing that God will surely use her many gifts, especially of communicating timeless values. CWA, too, remains committed to those timeless values as an active voice for truth in the public square. CWA will continue to be that voice in the battles over life and liberty that challenge us today, especially on the critical issues of marriage."

CWA's Board of Trustees is currently engaged in an active search for a successor.
