What do you think of a group that believes that those who disagree with them are subhuman monsters who deserve to be humiliated, beaten up or killed?
No, we're not talking about al-Qaeda, the Ku Klux Klan or the Taliban. Or even Supreme Court nominee John Roberts, who is being smeared in a deceptive NARAL Pro-Choice America television ad that claims he instigated the bombing and maiming of a woman by arguing for the rights of peaceful pro-life demonstrators in a case seven years before the bombing.
This is Planned Parenthood (PP) – more specifically, Planned Parenthood Golden Gate in San Francisco (PPGG). And they let their mask slip, briefly, by displaying on their Web site an 8.5-minute cartoon called A Superhero for Choice.
The cartoon was quickly taken off the Web site after WorldNetDaily.com reported on it on August 8.
The superhero, “Dianisis,” looks exactly like PPGG’s director, Dian Harrison, whose photo is displayed on the group’s Web site (www.ppgg.org/). I wondered at first if the superhero's name was meant to be the phonetic equivalent of Dionysus, the Greek god of sexual orgies and drunkenness. But it's more likely to be “Dian” plus “Isis,” Isis being the ancient Egyptian goddess of fertility. Feminists are into "the goddess," but equating fertility with abortion is not likely to get them to the 22nd century.
In the cartoon, Dianisis assaults a green-faced advocate for abstinence and drowns him in a water-filled trash can (shades of Richard III). Confronting "anti-choice demonstrators," she concedes that they do have "a constitutional right" to protest abortion – and then she kills them with a special "condom gun." So much for constitutional rights.
She also strips and boils a "misinformed conservative" senator and puts him on a plate with an apple in his mouth. We do love this cartoon's subtle wit: They should've submitted it to the New Yorker.
Somehow Dianisis' solution to a difference of opinion always involves coercion and violence. Her debating skills are on display with such bon mots as, "The only truth here is that you're ugly and your mother dresses you funny."
She is empowered by a moral imbecility of breathtaking dimensions. All sexual behavior, she proclaims, is simply a matter of choice, “just as I choose to root for the Giants.” Isn't that a wonderful thing to be teaching children? But “you kids know where to go for all your health care tips and reproductive advice,” she says. To Planned Parenthood, of course.
Penny Harrington, who does battle with Planned Parenthood on a daily basis as legislative director of Concerned Women for America’s San Diego/Imperial Counties Area Chapter, had this reaction:
“After reviewing this video, I am once again gratified that the vast majority of those with pro-life views disagree thoughtfully and civilly with the ideas of the pro-abortion set. This video, like the recent NARAL ‘Screw Abstinence’ fundraiser in Seattle, shows with glaring clarity just how childishly irresponsible many of the abortion and ‘safe sex’ supporters are.”
For all who are still in denial about Planned Parenthood's intrinsic hostility to the human race, a viewing of this cartoon is a must. This is the organization that trains your child's sex education teachers, for which it is paid by your tax dollars.
Ask yourself: If Dianisis heard your opinions on abortion, abstinence or sexual behavior, would she let you live?
Planned Parenthood doesn't have the power to kill those who disagree with its position. But if A Superhero for Choice is any indication, they certainly wish they did.
