CWA Appoints Linda Caswell State Director of Oklahoma     3/25/2008

Washington, D.C. — Concerned Women for America (CWA) is thrilled to announce the selection of Linda Caswell as State Director for Oklahoma. Linda has extensive experience in serving her community and is known for her recent work in founding and operating a faith-based house for women coming out of prison. Linda is also in the process of starting a home for women who have been freed from prostitution and sex trafficking.

As Oklahoma’s new State Director, Linda will work with almost 5,000 members in the state to build additional Prayer/Action Chapters and coordinate CWA's grassroots activities in legislation and media. CWA’s goals are to preserve the eternal values that support the Biblical design of the family, protect life at all stages, fight pornography and obscenity, tackle the declining quality of education, support religious freedom and increase awareness of efforts at the United Nations to undermine the sanctity of life and respect for the family.

Linda applied to become a CWA State Director because she believes our nation can be changed through action and prayer. Her goals include informing Oklahomans about sex trafficking and its effects on our state and to mentor young people in the areas of public policy and prayer.

“Linda Caswell brings the knowledge and commitment that is needed to help lead pro-family efforts in Oklahoma. Her experience gives her unique insight, and we are pleased that Linda will be a voice for women who love God, their families and our country,” stated Wendy Wright, President of Concerned Women for America.

Beverly LaHaye founded CWA in 1979. Since that time, CWA has become the nation’s largest public policy women’s organization with 500,000 members. Its mission is to protect and promote Biblical values among all citizens — first through prayer, then education, and finally by influencing our society — thereby reversing the decline in moral values in our nation.

Linda Caswell can be contacted by phone at (918) 331-6286, or by e-mail at director@oklahoma.cwfa.org.
