CWA Recruiting Leaders in Tennessee     4/10/2008

CWA representatives will be in Tennessee April 14-18 to train and recruit local leaders and members.

Kenda Bartlett, National Field Director for Concerned Women for America (CWA), and Nina Bell, Field Development Coordinator, will be visiting the state of Tennessee April 14-18 to train CWA Prayer/Action Chapter Leaders there and to recruit new Chapter Leaders and members. With years of experience with CWA, Kenda says, "CWA's strength is in the grassroots, and building new Prayer/Action Chapters is the top priority of CWA's National Field Department. It is always such a blessing to go out to the states and visit with these dedicated volunteer leaders. They are so important to the effectiveness of CWA as a grassroots public policy organization."

The nondenominational Prayer/Action Chapter meetings serve as an arm of the church to encourage informed prayer and action for our nation and its leaders. CWA does this by educating Christians on issues that affect our Biblically-based standards. We want to empower our leaders and members to deal with the issues of education, abortion, pornography, religious freedom, homosexuality, redefinition of the family and national sovereignty.

If we join in prayer and action with other believers, our nation will change for the better. More importantly, we will be obeying the instruction given in God's Word. Ephesians 6:18 says, "Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit; being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for the saints."

Nina states that "through the Prayer/Action Chapters, we can build a strong network of people throughout the state who care deeply about serving God by influencing our laws and culture that will work towards protecting the family and our Biblical values."

The Prayer/Action Chapter has a three-fold purpose, providing an opportunity for members to do the following:

  1. Be alert and INFORMED on the issues. (Ephesians 6:18b)
  2. PRAY about the issues. (Ephesians 6:18a)
  3. ACT on those issues. (Ephesians 6:20)

Kenda and Nina will be traveling to the following cities in Tennessee:

Monday evening, April 14………….. Dayton

Tuesday evening, April 15…………. Shelbyville

Wednesday evening, April 16……...Memphis/Collierville

Thursday, lunch time, April 17……..Hendersonville

Friday morning, April 18…………….Knoxville

If you live in one of these areas and would like to attend CWA's informational meeting or would like to meet with Kenda and Nina, please contact the CWA National Field Department by phone at (800) 458-8797 or by e-mail at inquiries@cwfa.org.
