Elane Photography in Albuquerque, New Mexico has been ordered to pay a lesbian couple $6,600 in attorney fees because they refused to photograph the couple's commitment ceremony. Jordan Lorence, Senior Legal Counsel for the Alliance Defense Fund and a former CWA attorney, discusses this case with Matt Barber, CWA's Policy Director for Cultural Issues, and its First Amendment implications. Lorence adds that this case and similar ones across the nation should serve as a warning to Christian-owned businesses that they must take pro-active steps to defend themselves against local Human Rights Commission rulings.
