Faith in the Fog of War      5/16/2008

As a 1999 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, Captain Chris Plekenpol was trained for battle. However, his deployment from South Korea to Iraq in 2004 tested his training, his leadership and his faith. As a tank company commander responsible for 100 men and 85 million dollars of equipment, Chris and his men patrolled the highway between Ramadi and Fallujah at a time of high tensions. His emails home during this time are the basis of his book Faith in the Fog of War: Stories of Triumph and Tragedy in the Midst of Battle. The lessons of faith that Chris shares reach into the heart of everyday life where, like in war, we don't see the big picture of our circumstances. Listen | Download
