eHarmony Forced to Provide Same-Sex Matching      11/20/2008

The online dating service, eHarmony, has been forced to provide compatibility matching for same-sex partners under a settlement with the New Jersey Civil Rights Division. Under the settlement, the California-based company founded by Dr. Neil Clark Warren, eHarmony can create a separate and differently named site for same-sex matches. By this settlement, eHarmony is not only obligated to pay $55,000 to the New Jersey Civil Rights Division and the New Jersey man who filed the complaint, but it must create and maintain a brand new global business venture. Bob Knight, Director of the Culture and Media Institute, a division of the Media Research Center, says this is another example of how dangerous and tyrannical even state and local sexual orientation laws are.
