Encourage-A-Legislator 2010     11/9/2009

Being a part of this campaign could not be easier. All you have to do is pray for your assigned legislator once a day and write an encouraging note to him/her once a week. We provide the postcards, a bio of your legislator, suggested Scriptures and quotes. You simply write a short note of encouragement, place a stamp on it, and then mail it.

Each volunteer will be getting their EAL packet the first week of January. The packet includes a short bio of their assigned legislator, post cards, and suggestions for sharing Scripture/quotes along with a schedule to follow. The first postcard is to be mailed on Monday, January 11, and will finish up when the Assembly adjourns.

We hope to travel to Richmond on February 15, 2010 so mark your calendar. We will invite each Encourage-A-Legislator volunteer to join us as we visit our Legislators and their staff.

We had over 50 individuals participate last year, and we want to see an increase as we try to cover all the Senators and more Delegates in 2010.

To join our Encourage-A-Legislator Program, contact Kay at encourage@virginia.cwfa.org or (540) 586-1075.
