Prayer/Action Chapter Meeting in Pennsylvania      4/22/2009
By Leslie Smith

Concerned Women for America (CWA) recently traveled to Pennsylvania for a Prayer/Action Chapter Meeting.  Nina Bell, CWA Field Development Coordinator, met with a group of enthusiastic citizens last month to reach out to Millersburg and the surrounding communities.

The group met at Reigles Bible Fellowship, whose pastor sent a warm welcome letter sharing his support for CWA’s mission and offering the facility for future meetings.  Several attendees have been faithful supporters of CWA for years, and three churches were represented at the meeting.  “We had a great meeting,” said Nina.  “So many of the attendees have been keeping up-to-date and informed regarding current issues, and they all were thrilled at the idea of having an organized CWA chapter in their area.”

A couple of participants have volunteered to participate in our Project 535 program this month. Project 535 is a volunteer lobbying program here in Washington, D.C.  Our supporters travel to CWA’s national headquarters and, under the guidance of our Legislation Department, lobby in congressional offices. To learn more about Project 535, please visit http://www.cwalac.org/535.shtml.

According to Nina, the meeting in Millersburg was a sweet time of fellowship and she was blessed by the hospitality of the families involved.  CWA looks forward to developing meaningful relationships with all of the women and like-minded men who attended.
