A measure that would extend special protections to individuals based on their real or "perceived" sexual orientation or gender identity has already passed the House of Representatives by a vote of 249-175. That bill is now before the U.S. Senate. While it is likely that the Senate will not vote on this bill until their return from their Memorial Day recess, that is less than 2 weeks away. Shari Rendall, CWA's Director of Government Relations and Public Policy and Mike Mears with Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee say that it is vital that our members contact their U.S. Senators now, both in Washington, D.C. and in their district offices.
