Commemorating the 8th Anniversary of the 9-11 Attacks 9/11/2009 Click for more multimedia content.
We are now eight years out from the attacks by Islamic terrorists on the World Trade Center and Pentagon, and it seems that our nation is starting to lose the significance of that day. From the early days the blame America crowd has claimed that we as a nation brought the attacks on ourselves. Now, with an administration seeking closer ties to the Islamic world, there is an effort to turn 9-11 into a day of national service. On this anniversary, we challenge that effort by introducing you to Desiree Bernstein, a CWA Prayer/Action Chapter Leader in New York City. Desiree lost her brother-in-law and 12 neighbors in the attack on the twin towers. Today, she is active not only with CWA, but with the families of 9-11 victims as well as reaching out to Gold Star and Blue Star families. Listen | Download
