Both Admiral Mike Mullen, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Ray Mabus, Secretary of the Navy, have made statement saying they think the ban on women serving aboard U.S. Navy submarines should be dropped. Elaine Donnelly, President of the Center for Military Readiness, shares why this is a very bad idea for national security, the mission of the Silent Service, and especially the health of female sailors and their future children.
