Remembering the Persecuted Church      11/13/2009

This past weekend marked the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church. It's estimated that each year an average of 160,000 Christians worldwide die as martyrs for Christ and 400 million others do not enjoy religious freedom, while others are actively persecuted. One of the strongholds of for religious persecution is the Sudan in North Africa. Ed Lyons, Ministry Advancement Coordinator for the Persecution Project has more on his ministry's efforts there to comfort Christian refugees and minister to nonbelievers through the simple gift of clean water through its 100 Wells Campaign.
