Marriage Protection Week     10/1/2003

Sandy Rios announces Concerned Women for America's
support for Marriage Protection Week
Concerned Women for America joined with over twenty other family groups on October 2, 2003 at a Washington, D.C. press conference to announce Marriage Protection Week (October 12th -18th) a campaign includes outreach to more than 200,000 churches, national radio broadcasts to millions more people, and public events.

"Marriage is the support beam of a civilized society," said Sandy Rios. "If politicians are unwilling to fight for that foundation, the American people will remove them from public office." Marriage is quickly becoming the defining issue in American politics. This year CWA is committed to equipping citizens to vote to protect marriage. Ever since the disturbing activist court decisions this summer, pro-marriage sentiment has been on the rise and office seekers are going to have to decide whether they stand with the majority of Americans or whether they will stand by and allow the destruction of society's premiere institution.
