Christian Physicians Saddened by Sen. Frist’s Stem Cell Position      8/2/2005


News that Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist had endorsed federal funding for embryonic stem cell research stunned the pro-life community. But Christian physicians were especially taken aback. We spoke with Dr. Al Weir, past president of the Christian Medical and Dental Association. As a practicing oncologist and hematologist, Dr. Weir is particularly pained by the Senator’s new position.
