Where Does CWA Stand on the Miers Nomination?      9/29/2005

Harriet Miers has been nominated by President Bush to fill the seat of departing Justice Sandra Day O’Connor. At this point, the burden of proof has shifted to the White House to demonstrate that Miers is well qualified. Jan LaRue, CWA’s Chief Counsel, has drafted a memo on what CWA needs to know before we could support the nomination. Here, Jan explains what CWA needs to know, how it differs from the demands of many liberals, and why this information is of utmost importance. Click here to listen.
