Imus Comments Symptomatic of Cultural Condition



Radio host Don Imus’ derogatory comments about the Rutgers’ Women’s Basketball team sparked a national controversy over racism, sexism, and the role shock value plays in a preson’s fame. However, as Dr Janice Crouse, Senior Fellow and Director of the Beverly LaHaye Institute, points out, many of Imus’ staunchest critics are themselves guilty of name-calling for the sake of grabbing headlines.
