A recent panel discussion on the continuing unrest in the Sudan focused on the point that western nations must look past the regional conflicts in Southern Sudan and Darfur, and instead focus on the actions of the Khartoum government. Only when western nations take a broader perspective of Khartoum's actions can a solution be found to the continuing, but mobile, humanitarian crisis.
