
The Olympic Torch and Persecution's Flame

The Olympic torch is making its way around the globe in preparation for China's hosting of the 2008 Olympic Games and it is raising demonstrations from human rights activists. The vast majority of protests are focusing on China's persecution of Tibet. Institute on Religion and Democracy's Director of Religious Liberty Programs Faith J.H. McDonnell, spoke with CWA Policy Analyst Martha Kleder and says that this focus ignores the state of Christian persecution within China as well as ongoing forced abortions and sterilizations.
