Studies Show Abstinence Education Works



With statistics showing that 1 in 4 teenage girls has a sexually transmitted disease there is no time like now to insure that government funds go to the most effective sex education programs. A new study of the outcomes of abstinence education and comprehensive (condom-promoting) sex education shows that abstinence far outpaces other programs when it comes to preventing both STDs and pregnancy. This study was released by the Heritage Foundation at the National Press Club.
