Conscience Rights for Medical Professionals Issue Reaches the White House



The President's Council on Bioethics will soon be meeting to discuss conscience rights for medical professionals. After many complaints, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) drafted regulations that would strongly enforce those rights for doctors, nurses and others; rights that already exist under current law. Dr. David Stevens, CEO of the Christian Medical Association, tells us why this meeting is important not only to medical professionals, but patients as well. He adds that the regulations drafted by HHS are still open for comment, but that window of opportunity is quickly closing. Listen | Download
