
Connecticut High Court Imposes "Gay Marriage," Threatens Religious Liberty

By a vote of 4-3 the Connecticut Supreme Court has imposed "gay marriage" on their state, circumventing the legislature. However, Mario Diaz, CWA's Policy Director for Legal Issues, says this opinion goes far beyond the usual examples of judicial activism. Not only does this opinion impose "same-sex marriage" but it elevates sexual orientation and behavior to a level just shy of federally protected classes like race, sex and national origin, and it undermines the religious freedom of anyone with theological objections to the promotion and acceptance of homosexual behavior.
