German Officials Campaign Against California's Marriage Amendment

Concerned Women for America has joined with other groups in a letter to Germany's Foreign Minister complaining about a top German diplomat in San Francisco who has been campaigning for the defeat of Proposition 8, California's marriage amendment. Consul General Rolf Schuette's activities, which include the involvement of other German officials, goes against established protocol as it involves active interference with an election and ballot question before American voters. Copies of the letter were also send to U.S. Secretary of State Condelezza Rice, Assistant to the President for National Security Steven Hadley, and Vice President Dick Cheney. CWA President Wendy Wright explains the outrageousness of this action on the part of German diplomats, as well as action you can on this matter. Listen | Download
