
Red Kettle Campaign Gets an Early Start

Stressed family budgets and a weak economy has led to The Salvation Army's annual red kettle campaign getting an early start this year. Major George Hood tells CWA that this year kettles were in place in early November. Major Hood says that this Christmas season, the economy is causing as much devastation on the personal level as a natural disaster, only without the stark visuals. He adds that while kettle donations are vital for the ministry, there are ways that Christians can help the Salvation Army respond to this crisis that don't involve gifts of cash. Listen | Download
