Modernization of Macbeth Shocks Audience with Nudity

**Warning: Subject not suitable for children.

A modern interpretation of the Shakespeare's Macbeth, now playing at the Chicago Shakespeare Theater, contains nudity and depictions of sexual acts. This was a shock to one of the theater's patrons who says there was no warning beforehand about these "interpretations." Laurie Higgins, Director of the Division of School Advocacy for the Illinois Family Institute, saw the play on opening night and was the first in the region to alert ticket holders to what awaited them when the curtain went up. She discusses this play, reaction to her review, and how area parents should be on guard over this given that school children are routinely invited to the Chicago Shakespeare Theater for matinees.
