New regulations at the Department of Health and Human Services that clarify and aid enforcement of the law protecting the right of conscience for health care professionals are under attack. The ACLU, Planned Parenthood, and six state attorneys general, are seeking to have the court overturn these new regulations. However, since the Obama administration would be in charge of defending these regulations, which the President has already said he does not support, CWA and a collection of pro-life and pro-family groups are stepping in, and seeking to intervene. As CWA President Wendy Wright tells us, this act is a step beyond filing a brief, since it asks the court to make this coalition a party to the lawsuit. Listen | Download
