Obama Seeks to Overturn Conscience Protections for Healthcare Workers



The Obama administration has taken the first steps in overturning the regulations, passed by President Bush, that protect the conscience rights of physicians, pharmacists and other healthcare workers. In this first step, he has asked the Department of Health and Human Services to take public comments. CWA President Wendy Wright says it's important that medical professionals and citizens act now to make their views known and explains why doing so is of utmost importance.
