Since 1970, America has seen a 1000 percent increase in cohabitating relationships and today 40% of our nation's children are born out of wedlock. While some cohabitating couples eschew marriage, others use it to test drive a possible commitment. Dr. Janice Crouse looks at these and other figures and discusses the ramifications of cohabitation on that couple's relationship, their likely future relationships, and the children they raise.
