
Health Care and Socialism

With the debates raging over government involvement in health care, the specter of socialized medicine is looming large on the minds of many. Janne Myrdal, State Director for CWA of North Dakota, is a native of Norway and grew up under a system of socialized medicine. Janne says that while her home nation has a well funded system, even it has inherent flaws. Those flaws, she adds, would expand greatly if the U.S. - a much larger nation with an already heavy debt load - were to adopt a similar plan.
