
Medical Professionals Mobilize to Fight Human Trafficking

Physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and dentists, all members of the Christian Medical and Dental Association (CMDA), are headed to Managua, Nicaragua, for a short-term mission trip to address the health concerns of women and children caught in human trafficking. Dr. Jeff Barrows, the team leader and expert in the area of human trafficking, says the 32 professionals will be working through the House of Hope, which ministers to those caught in trafficking. Dr. Barrows discusses the problem of human trafficking, prayer requests for this mission, and CMDA's efforts to educate medical professionals about recognizing the signs of someone possibly caught in a trafficking situation.
