Controversial Professor Places Christian College in an Unflattering Light
![]() |
Warren Throckmorton, Associate Professor at Grove City College, has again cast an unflattering light on the college which describes itself as "authentically Christian." In a recent paper co-authored with Regent University's Mark Yarhouse titled "Sexual Identity Therapy: Practice Guidelines for Sexual Identity Conflicts," Throckmorton supports the idea of therapists supporting a patient's "gay identity" as well as aiding patients in modifying their religious beliefs to accommodate their homosexuality. Peter LaBarbera, president of Americans for Truth, says that this is not the first time Throckmorton's comments have strayed beyond the theology one would expect from a Christian institution, and that it was time to hold Grove City College accountable for their continued embrace of a "gay' affirming professor.
