Preparing Hearts by Reading the Word

The days leading up to the National Day of Prayer were filled with more than logistical preparations. Hundreds of volunteers have been on the west side of the U.S. Capitol reading the entire Bible aloud. The final chapter of Revelations will be finished shortly before National Day of Prayer activities begin. Barbara Bivens, Executive Assistant to the Chairman of the Board of the International Bible Reading Association (a division of BiblePathways), has more on this effort, it's purpose, and how the Lord is using the public reading of Scripture not only in Washington, D.C. but across the globe.
