U.S. Appeals Court Strikes Down FCC Indecency Policy

The U.S. Appeals Court for the 2nd Circuit in Manhattan has struck down the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) policy restricting profanity on broadcast television when children are likely in the audience. The three-judge panel said that the FCC's policy was "unconstitutionally vague" and would have a "chilling effect" on free speech.
