
U.S. Attorney Holder Works to Undermine DOMA

After receiving criticism for his refusal to defend the federal Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) in court, U.S. Attorney Eric Holder has taken his activism a step further. Holder has intervened in a case of a man facing deportation despite becoming part of a civil union in New Jersey. The judge in that case said that DOMA does not allow the recognition of a same sex union for federal matters and immigration law is a federal matter.
