Statement to the Press Regarding Congressman Anthony Weiner

Washington, D.C. — Penny Nance, CEO of Concerned Women for America, the nation's largest public policy women's group, released the following statement on Congressman Anthony Weiner's (D-New York) embarrassing admission yesterday:

"While no political party has a monopoly on poor moral decisions their members make, the Democrats have a serious problem disciplining their caucus. In similar situations, many dishonest Republicans resigned immediately or were asked to step down by leadership. No one is perfect, and compassion should be given where needed, but these representatives are the leaders of our nation, and by continuing to embarrass the offices they hold, they embarrass our country and set a horrible example for Americans."
