CWA Praises Supreme Court Decision to Revive Liberty University Lawsuit on ObamaCare
Washington D.C. - Concerned Women for America (CWA) CEO and President Penny Nance issued the following statement in light of the Supreme Court's order for the federal appeals court in Richmond, Virginia, to consider Liberty University's claim that ObamaCare violates the school's religious freedoms:
"We applaud the Supreme Court for reconsidering Liberty University's claim and open the door for a second look at ObamaCare's attack on religious freedom," CWA CEO and President Penny Nance said. "As a Liberty University alum, I'm proud to see my alma mater fight for our religious liberties, and I hope this paves the way for similar legal challenges to ObamaCare. The ObamaCare mandate is in direct contradiction to the school's policy on students' agreement to live within the Biblical boundaries of sexuality. Students specifically choose Liberty because it aligns with their core values; the U.S. Government has no right to interfere with that relationship.
"Our tax dollars should not be used to pay for someone else's contraception or abortion-inducing drugs, and no employer should be forced to provide insurance plans which offer services in violation of their religious conscience."
Concerned Women for America (CWA) is the nation's largest public policy women's organization with a history of over 30-years helping our members across the country bring Biblical principles into all levels of public policy. There's a cultural battle raging across this country, and CWA is on the frontline protecting those values through prayer and action.
