North Carolinians – Let Us Continue To Protect the Sanctity of Marriage – March 26
We are in the midst of a fierce battle for marriage. The Supreme Court will be hearing testimony on March 26 and 27 concerning whether the Federal Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) and California's Proposition 8 (defining marriage as between one man and one woman) will stand. The Supreme Court is under heated political pressure from the left, from the homosexual agenda, and from President Obama to overturn these laws.
On Tuesday, March 26, in Washington, D.C., there will be a national March for Marriage at the Supreme Court, co-sponsored by Concerned Women for America and many other pro-family groups.
Take action: Attend the March by catching a ride from Raleigh. North Carolina Values Coalition is chartering two buses. Seating is limited so reserve your seat today. Click here for more information.
Please join with Concerned Women for America of North Carolina in urgent prayer.
- Pray for God's traveling mercies and protection on all who participate in the March for Marriage.
- Pray that the United States Supreme Court will protect marriage as between one man and one woman and uphold the Federal Defense of Marriage Act and Proposition 8 in California.
- Pray that the family unit, as the union of one man and one woman, as the Biblical model for marriage, will be established as a holy covenant of marriage before God.
"God created man in His own image ... male and female He created them." Genesis 1:27
"A man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh." Genesis 2:24
"If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination." Leviticus 20:13 and Leviticus 18:22
"The counsel of the LORD stands forever." Psalm 33: 11
- Pray by name, for the United States Supreme Court Justices. Pray that God's light of Truth, through the power of the Holy Spirit, would influence their knowledge and decision. "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of all knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction." Proverbs 1:7
