Defamation of Religions Issue Still a Threat at the UN

The Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) at the United Nations has repeatedly tried to ban the so-called “defamation of religion”. Last month, even as the OIC failed to advance the issue, it also released a press statement indicating the issue is not dead, and that in the future, they may use hate crimes laws to advance their agenda instead. Steven Groves, the Bernard and Barbara Lomas Fellow at the Margaret Thatcher Center for Freedom at the Heritage Foundation, has more on this troubling development.
