CWA Interns and staff picnicking before a free showing of Shakespeare's Hamlet, Summer 2003 |
The summer session runs from June-August.
Application deadline: April 1.
CWA conducts its formal internship program in the summer session. Preference will be given to those applicants who can work full-time, though we encourage you to apply even if your schedule will permit you to work only part-time. We accept about six interns for the summer session each year.
As part of our commitment to ensure interns grow intellectually, spiritually and professionally, summer interns hold Bible study with a CWA staff member and receive Christian Worldview training through a structured class under CWA experts.
1. Check your worldview.
A Biblical foundation is the key to what we do at CWA. Part of society's problems stems from the "bad lenses" through which many people view the world around them. For summer internships, we combine materials from Biblical worldview curriculum with teaching from the pro-family experts on staff at CWA. You'll leave with a greater picture of God's design and how crucial it is for confessing Christians to make His truth an integral part of their lives.
2. Let truth reign.
Colossians 3:16 says to "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly." If our lives are not governed by God's word, then we allow our passions, the world, or our own ideas to carry us about on "every wind of doctrine" (Ephesians 4:14). CWA desires that every intern be challenged by studying God's word throughout his or her time with us. We provide a Bible study for summer interns to deepen your relationship with Christ and mentoring from our staff to help guide you along the way.
3. The real world.
You'll develop your "real work" experience through professional hands-on projects that utilize your skills and interests. We accept interns from any field of study to work in any of these seven departments:

"I think the 3 sections of development are what make it so wonderful. I feel like I was "mentored" from the inside out because of CWA. I got to see people in cowboy hats at the picnic, and the same people on Crossfire the next week. I was able to watch how the heart and soul of a Christian organization operates."
