“Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.” Ronald W. Reagan
“All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.” Edmund Burke
These maxims describe my reason for becoming involved in Concerned Women for America. Love of God, family, and country is no longer being instilled in America’s children. Freedom must be cherished and protected. Unfortunately, most Americans have taken their God-given liberties for granted. A return to the Judeo-Christian values upon which this nation was founded is our only hope.
On 9/11/2001 a friend called me on the phone and said, “Turn on the television. I’m coming over – we have to pray for America.” We watched in disbelief as the towers fell and felt a spiritual call to action. The following spring the first Stephenson County National Day of Prayer Breakfast was held, which ultimately led to me becoming the Northwest Illinois National Day of Prayer Regional Coordinator for the National Day of Prayer Task Force.
The beauty of Concerned Women for America is that it combines both prayer and action. It is an organization for such a time as this. Women must be on the frontline protecting the sanctity of human life, defending religious liberty, affecting education, fighting sexual exploitation, securing national sovereignty, and supporting Israel. When Christian women unite behind a righteous cause, there is no stopping them!
For the past thirty years, I have ministered through inspirational music and verse in area churches, nursing homes, women’s clubs, community events, as well as the Rockford Rescue Mission. I recently released three “The Singing Gospel Flute” CDs. I am presently working on the soon-to-be released “The Christ in Me Collection,” containing 130 original Scripture-inspired melodies and lyrics penned under the direction of Holy Spirit.
My husband and I have been married for over 35 years. We have three children and are anticipating the arrival of our first grandson this spring.
I am excited to be the new Area Director for CWA of Northwest Illinois. If you live in the zip code area 610-613, please contact me, and I will let you know how together we can make a difference in our communities, state and country. Contact me today!
