Will the U.S. Ignore Suffering North Koreans?

Listen

The United States, South Korea, Russia, China and Japan are currently in talks with North Korea over the crucial issue of weapons of mass destruction. Efforts to coax North Korea to open its programs to outside inspections include not only military concessions but possible financial aid for the Pyongyang regime, without any commitment on the issue of human and religious rights. Dr. Janice Crouse, Senior Fellow of the Beverly LaHaye Institute has more on the dangers of that omission.

The two Senate bills mentioned, the North Korean Human Rights Act, S 1903 and S 2609, focus on human rights abuses in that nation and governs the granting of humanitarian aid so that it can not be abused by the regime.

For a firsthand account of conditions in North Korea, listen to these Concerned Women Today broadcasts with Dr. Norbert Vollertsen. 10/1/2002, 05/15/2003, & 05/19/2003.
