Kerry Campaign Religious Liaison Backed Newdow’s Pledge Suit

Rev. Brenda Bartella Peterson was named the Democratic National Committee’s new advisor for religious outreach on July 23. She is also among three dozen religious leaders who supported atheist Michael Newdow’s efforts to remove the phrase “under God” from the Pledge of Allegiance.
