Virginia Judge Upholds DOMA, Doesn’t Recognize Vermont Civil Union
Listen
A Winchester, Virginia-area judge has refused to recognize a Vermont civil union. Homosexual activists had hoped that a custody battle between former lesbian partners would lead to the judicial nullification of Virginia’s strong defense of marriage law. While that didn’t happen, the battle isn’t over. Activists pushing for “same-sex marriage” have lined up behind Janet Jenkins, the partner with no biological connections to the child, against Lisa Miller-Jenkins, the child’s mother seeking an appeal. Martha Kleder has more with Patricia Phillips, state director for CWA of Virginia.
