Calls Needed to Pass Indecency Enforcement

The Broadcast Decency Enforcement Act has been struck from the defense bill due to a controversial amendment added at the 11th hour. However, the bill has one more chance for passage this session. Senator Sam Brownback, R-Kansas is introducing the language agreed upon by the House and Senate conferees as a free-standing bill, H.R. 3717. The only thing keeping this bill from swift passage is a Democrat hold placed on it in the Senate. Your help is needed now. Jan LaRue, CWA’s Chief Counsel, has more.
