Fall TV Sweeps Brings Indecency but E-Mails Send Advertisers Running (8:43)
Listen
The fall ratings season is here and while we will not have a Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show to contend with, plenty of other indecent things are taking its place. In Columbus, Ohio, a local news anchor is going nude in a news story. The CBS drama CSI will air a show on transgender surgery, and Cold Case used the time to promote homosexual “marriage.” But the worst offender is Disney-owned ABC with its new shows Desperate Housewives and Life As We Know It. Martha Kleder spoke with Bill Johnson, president of the
American Decency Association about some good news in this battle. Many companies, when confronted with the content of these shows, drop their support.
