The mother of a soldier killed in Iraq and the daughter of a man killed by Saddam Hussein’s regime were the highlight of the evening as they embraced each other and brought tears to everyone’s eyes. But President George W. Bush laid out an ambitious plan for his second term in his State of the Union speech while shinning liberty’s light on the moral issues that won his election. CWA’s Chief Counsel, Jan LaRue, has more.
