Woman Who Had Her Feeding Tube Removed Speaks for Terri (9:39)
Listen
Kate Adamson suffered a severe double brain stem stroke in 1995. The young, active mother of two suddenly found herself in a hospital bed unable to communicate except by blinking her eyes. During that time, her feeding tube was removed for 8 days. Kate shares her story and what Terri Schiavo is currently enduring. With therapy and hard work Kate has recovered substantially. She now speaks for the severely disabled, and has testified before Florida legislators about Terri’s situation. You can learn more about Kate on her Web site,
