Since taking office last year, President Bush has attempted to fill over one hundred vacancies in the judicial system. While 39 of them are considered judicial emergencies,’ the Senate has been dragging its heels on confirmation. And those outside of Congress, who oppose the president´s conservative nominees could slow the process further. The National Organization of Women just launched a campaign targeting certain nominees - specifically those who are pro-life. NOW says that pro-life nominees would threaten women´s reproductive and lesbian rights, among others.’ It´s an uphill battle, but you can make a difference. Find out more on today's program.
